August – in a nutshell
31st August 2021
Between planned holidays and unplanned pings, we’ve been keeping busy with some regular clients of ours. Spirits are at an all time high in Upshot and we’re already excited to step into September with our usual swagger.
1. Guide to Giving
Wiltshire Community Foundation relies on large-scale philanthropic gestures to be able to support community projects across the county. We helped create a new case for support publication for them, showcasing success stories and various ways to support, all wrapped up in an engaging magazine-style format.
2. ChickP
We’re a little off the pace with this one but were recently inspired by the work created by agency Day by Night for bold Bristol-based accountancy firm Chickp. It takes bravery from both agency and client to create a brand so vastly beyond industry expectations as this. Bravo. 👊
3. Tearfund
A regular client of ours, this poverty-relief charity are well known around UK churches for the work they do in some of the most deprived countries in the world. Their internal creative team recently put the finishing touches to their refreshed brand identity and we were delighted to help refine how the brand worked in practice through the design of their annual report and accounts.
4. Ebb Tides cosmetics
From ‘ewww to oooh!’. We condensed our brand and packaging process into an intensive one week sprint to help Sidmouth’s innovative seaweed harvesters launch their new range of cosmetics. Check the case study on our website now.
5. Global Women NZ
We absolutely loved the charm of this witty animated campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi. The impact of having a baby is deeply limiting for women’s careers – even more limiting than some of the absurd moves made by the anti-heroine of these spots!
6. Dogs Trust
Continuing our work with Dogs Trust this month saw the development of a new set of animated sticker graphics for their newsletters and intranet site. Always fun, the new brand is great for introducing a sense of energy and playfulness in these kinds of asset.
7. …An Unexpected Gateway to a Career.
Everyone likes an origin story, right? Here’s a bit about our creative director Owen’s pathway into the industry via football kits in the 90s. The upshot? Maybe to remain open-minded about your/your children’s/your friends’ passions and interests – they might just morph into something quite exciting.
